This morning had that inspiring chat with a neighbour who lived in Japan for four years - managing the team in English. How that worked? At first... not at all. Until he found a pretty clever (and effective work around). Lil' reminder: If you find out you're on the wrong

Lil' reminder: If you find out you're on the wrong train, it is ok to hop off. ℹEven if that might sound simplistic, but... think of it... how often have you watched someone else stomping on on the clearly wrong path - simply because they didn't want to admit that they are on the wrong track? It might look like discipline, consistency, but if you're not careful, you're digging your trap just even deeper.

Let's try a reframing: All new directions are experiments - and if you find out, they do not work, you are free to get off it again. Consider that at the root of it, typically you now know more than you did before - it is only clever to act upon that knowledge - why ignore it even further?

Also, make sure ego / the reconfirmation fallacy is not upon you: Yes, we all love to prove we had been right about our choices... but looking at it a bit zoomed out... it IS ego speaking - and if anything holds true: That 'guy' is not a good advisor at ALL. 😉

Can you think of a time where you should have hopped off more quickly? (no judgement, just interest - and yes, I have been there, too).

Folks, we need to get this straight. Being 'authentic' is great.
From my very own experience I can affirm that it gives you access to a lot of power, or rather: energy, as it allows you to tap directly into your source. Maybe also through this it helps you grow older while staying or rather becoming you - in that way actually be a natural secret of 'eternal youth'. I call it 'staying recognizable to myself' - and I admit, as a creative person it is my natural ambition but also simple necessity.
At the same time (and this is where it gets tricky), it will often annoy others.
Not because you do anything bad.
Simply because you do YOU.
Simply because you dare to take the path they would never had dared stepping upon.
You're not adhering to the 'club' or 'gang' rules anymore.
If you dare to go authentic (or at least more of it), you should know that there is a price: It will often involve much less 'friends' (or what would look like it), it will often involve emotional blackmailing (the trickiest part is that this does not even have to be loud, mildly ignoring your new (or rather: actual) you. You could ask: Is this worth it? You need to check in about that for yourself, of course. For myself, I can say: It is, it involves pain and yes, a certain loneliness (or solitude depending on the day ;)), but I simply cannot help it.

How do you deal with that for yourself so far?
What has been working for you?
Would you rather have a 'headsup' about the side effect - or not? (I must say, I would have preferred to, as it helps understanding the process).

Whatever your way is: You're ok exactly as you are. As you were meant to be. And allowing yourself to just be that, will natural make you interesting and complete. One can tell, that I know. 💪

How I put my autumn on ""is that even legal?" mode. 😁

Hey there, so today I havw a REALLY helpful tweak using #AI for you. 💡
This summer, I have started to have Claude/GPT (I find those work best) help me set up my very own "Modular Summer/Autumn/X Enjoy Life & Business Program". I have used it to spice up my summer in a pretty solid way, and just this week have started doing the autumn version of it.

I have put some 'crazy' stuff there such as:
- keep having dips in the now colder lake 😁 (woah, it WAS chilly this morning! talk about a crystal clear mind afterwards 😉 - my brain: "is that even legal?")

- being allowed to go to the gym JUST for Sauna (how crazy is that?)

- or simply just do a walk in the rain

All along the lines: Does not need look or sound sexy but needs to work for me. 🤠
Plus: Needs to work when I am travelling, or hubbie is away or or even if I am hungry. 😆

I knoooooow this does not sound revolutionary in itself... then again:
How often are we doing stuff just because this is what our environment does and/or we liked it 5 years ago?
From my experience, fresh power always lies in the here and now, who you are and what you need TODAY.. THIS AUTUMN.
Not what that ghost of your past like or wanted.

So, yeah... I started out on this, have it here printed out and am happy to share more if you like to. Is that something you're interested in? Do you use Clause, GPT etc. for similar use cases? Which?

In any case: Happy first autumn weekend - enjoy and feel free to do that nap if you feel like it! 🍵

🎉 This afternoon I got to hit send on one of my favorite kinds of emails.

🙈 Normally, after a big 'hairy' project like this, an agency client braces for something like:
“Well, you probably guessed it — it took more effort, yadadada, so here’s the additional charge of X.”
Even if justified, it never feels good. (Luckily, that’s rare with us.)

🎉 Instead, I got to send this:
“Wrapping up the project, I have good news: not only did we reach the result we aimed for and within the narrow deadline — but the calculation was hit EXACTLY ON THE SPOT. So there’s ZERO extra to be charged. Thanks for the great cooperation!”

That only is possible because the ‘unglamorous’ parts clicked, too:
– sharp calculation upfront
– putting the right people in the right places (and let them play to their strengths)
– experience steering through the messy bits
– and people who simply. get. the. job. done. With diligence and quality that doesn’t need three loops

Before I sent it to the client, I did something really important:

🌟 I called the team.

🥂 Because this kind of success is worth celebrating together.
💃 🥂

Even if it’s “only” on Zoom, it felt great to share that calm sense of: it worked out.
We pulled this off — again. Smoothly. Without fuss.

Posting this just happens to feel more important and feasible at the moment than taking care of those dishes. Heading over to my AI guys (Claude, GPT, Gemini) to help me sort out a luxury problem mess of over 400 applications that came in withing a day. 🙈

People who know me, know that I am like the master

People who know me, know that I am like the master fangirl of process optimization. The first to try and adapt anything that might make sense. It's the reason why we can get so much done with restricted resources. It's great. AI can be great for process optimization, yes. But.... (you guess that, right? ;))

it's turning weird when (as just happened) we need to explain to humans why a 5* review they gave was blocked by the AI governed system of a market platform where we sell Ägile Ässets.

The person had meant well and actually from human perspective did a good job sharing how they had been frustrated about X at first, but now lovelovelove it. However, "the AI" on that platform does not get this 'contradiction' in a 5* review and says: hey, either you have that 5* thing going on or not. No ambiguities here (though we all know: this his how human experience is: ambiguous, multi-layered).

So, I ended up saying thanks anyway and... explaining why this blocked and could they please adapt it so that the semi-clever AI gets the idea? The irony is that here I would not even have been worried that people would have got the story wrong... but clearly the AI Moderation Bot did. 🙈

This is not the only, but a very concrete and recent example of AI not put to use in a considerate way. Let's recall: This system here, of course, was established by humans - and/or could still be cross checked for quality. But typically, if companies implement it, they trust it too much, too early.

And most definitely, if you use it in anything customer related (and I do not even want to start with Amazon's AI bots that 'help' you request invoices... which they don't), shouldn't your customer still be front and center?

If we humans have to communicate ‘the right way’to cater to ‘the AI’, we are clearly losing sight of who is master and who is servant.

🤔 Can anyone recall why software releases have to be boring lists of features added?

I, coming in from branding and marketing strategy, felt that this is kinda underselling the opportunity, isn’t it? For one thing I do not believe in random pile ups of features into any software - instead we have one clear main idea for each release - for this summer release it is all about how to make sure the global marketers using it can be the Cosmpolitans that they are, working in their own language in the interface, also getting lots of help and ease for creating localized version (in terms of process, but also the translations) etc.

💎 This summer release is all about making this anyway extremely agile tool even more Cosmopolitan. 🌐👣

And as Oscar Wilde says: “In all that matters, it’s style that matters.” => as we're at it - why not add a bit more flair?

Wondering how to add more 'happy' to your life? Hint: The most effective move might be to REDUCE stuff that is causing trouble. I did that extremely effectively when I decided I would have no more of that BS about men and men about me etc. for a whole year. 365 days. No men, no... you know what. I had lost the taste for it and I felt that it needed like a deep cleanse to start off with a clean plate again. It worked... and the 'result' is sitting on the other side of the table (my dear husband T., and yes, that happened pretty soon after that year was complete... 😉).
I can honestly say that of my self coaching experiments this was probably the most effective ever. Weirdly enough, once I decided it was easy to keep up as my overall life quickly felt so much better. Mind you: It was never supposed to get me 'off men' or 'off love' but rather make space for a better version of it. Which worked out exactly that way.

It does not always have to be such a 'big thing' - so I am for example at the moment reviewing where on social I see good conversations and atmo happening - and which places I do not really want invest my time in anymore. Some of those have actually been massive time invest - but what good does that if it increasingly frustrates or even silences me? Therefore: I allow myself to put that on my '

So - for which elements in your life do you truly need a better version? Or maybe none at first so you can look at things with fresh perspective and without schlepping around the ol' trash?

It is SO easy to grow impatient - with yourself, your team, anything... especially when:
🅰 all the world is worshipping at the altar of speed
🅱 you can already envision the outcome SO well but what the heck: how to cross that bridge from idea to reality? 💡 🍎

I readily admit I am naturally prone to liking speed (but then again: who is not? 😉) and also am fired up often by how clearly I can already envision it all... at the same time what I want is QUALITY.

In the way how we build Ägile Ässets, in the way we support our clients in my agency. I have seen also too often what damage it can do - visibly and unvisible at first - if things are not built with quality (we've repeatedly cleaned stuff like that up for others). So... even if the story might not look as cool or feel as cool as first, I will use this here as a mantra a lot. It reminds me that if we build with quality and diligence it might take more time AT FIRST, but we will not have to spend weeks and maybe months with smoothening out mistakes that were ignored for the sake of speed.

There are brilliant resources around this btw including one how this is used in high risk military operations (where you simply cannot afford to be sloppy), as well as in pro sports (where the slow practicing enables acceleration later).

Yeah, so this here is how I deal with me becoming impatient - how do you deal with the balance between quality, speed and where you mentally are?

because this is how focus works:

by NOT paying attention ⛔
to lots of stuff that ⛔ now does not really matter
and will also ⛔ not matter 3 years from now.
This week, let's excel in our most deliberate practice in informed ignorance ⛔
and with this much more uncluttered space

find the energy and inspo 🌱
to get the stuff done that will matter 🌱

for our development
our environment
the real results
not just this week,
but next winter,
maybe in 10 years.
