People who know me, know that I am like the master fangirl of process optimization. The first to try and adapt anything that might make sense. It's the reason why we can get so much done with restricted resources. It's great. AI can be great for process optimization, yes. But.... (you guess that, right? ;))

it's turning weird when (as just happened) we need to explain to humans why a 5* review they gave was blocked by the AI governed system of a market platform where we sell Ägile Ässets.

The person had meant well and actually from human perspective did a good job sharing how they had been frustrated about X at first, but now lovelovelove it. However, "the AI" on that platform does not get this 'contradiction' in a 5* review and says: hey, either you have that 5* thing going on or not. No ambiguities here (though we all know: this his how human experience is: ambiguous, multi-layered).

So, I ended up saying thanks anyway and... explaining why this blocked and could they please adapt it so that the semi-clever AI gets the idea? The irony is that here I would not even have been worried that people would have got the story wrong... but clearly the AI Moderation Bot did. 🙈

This is not the only, but a very concrete and recent example of AI not put to use in a considerate way. Let's recall: This system here, of course, was established by humans - and/or could still be cross checked for quality. But typically, if companies implement it, they trust it too much, too early.

And most definitely, if you use it in anything customer related (and I do not even want to start with Amazon's AI bots that 'help' you request invoices... which they don't), shouldn't your customer still be front and center?

If we humans have to communicate ‘the right way’to cater to ‘the AI’, we are clearly losing sight of who is master and who is servant.

🤔 Can anyone recall why software releases have to be boring lists of features added?

I, coming in from branding and marketing strategy, felt that this is kinda underselling the opportunity, isn’t it? For one thing I do not believe in random pile ups of features into any software - instead we have one clear main idea for each release - for this summer release it is all about how to make sure the global marketers using it can be the Cosmpolitans that they are, working in their own language in the interface, also getting lots of help and ease for creating localized version (in terms of process, but also the translations) etc.

💎 This summer release is all about making this anyway extremely agile tool even more Cosmopolitan. 🌐👣

And as Oscar Wilde says: “In all that matters, it’s style that matters.” => as we're at it - why not add a bit more flair?

🦶🌍☀ Bavaria had its glorious 30 minutes of sun this morning, so had a quick swim before heading to my desk. Now just off a call with the tech part of the team to give the summer release last polishes.

Wondering how to add more 'happy' to your life? Hint: The most effective move might be to REDUCE stuff that is causing trouble. I did that extremely effectively when I decided I would have no more of that BS about men and men about me etc. for a whole year. 365 days. No men, no... you know what. I had lost the taste for it and I felt that it needed like a deep cleanse to start off with a clean plate again. It worked... and the 'result' is sitting on the other side of the table (my dear husband T., and yes, that happened pretty soon after that year was complete... 😉).
I can honestly say that of my self coaching experiments this was probably the most effective ever. Weirdly enough, once I decided it was easy to keep up as my overall life quickly felt so much better. Mind you: It was never supposed to get me 'off men' or 'off love' but rather make space for a better version of it. Which worked out exactly that way.

It does not always have to be such a 'big thing' - so I am for example at the moment reviewing where on social I see good conversations and atmo happening - and which places I do not really want invest my time in anymore. Some of those have actually been massive time invest - but what good does that if it increasingly frustrates or even silences me? Therefore: I allow myself to put that on my '

So - for which elements in your life do you truly need a better version? Or maybe none at first so you can look at things with fresh perspective and without schlepping around the ol' trash?

It is SO easy to grow impatient - with yourself, your team, anything... especially when:
🅰 all the world is worshipping at the altar of speed
🅱 you can already envision the outcome SO well but what the heck: how to cross that bridge from idea to reality? 💡 🍎

I readily admit I am naturally prone to liking speed (but then again: who is not? 😉) and also am fired up often by how clearly I can already envision it all... at the same time what I want is QUALITY.

In the way how we build Ägile Ässets, in the way we support our clients in my agency. I have seen also too often what damage it can do - visibly and unvisible at first - if things are not built with quality (we've repeatedly cleaned stuff like that up for others). So... even if the story might not look as cool or feel as cool as first, I will use this here as a mantra a lot. It reminds me that if we build with quality and diligence it might take more time AT FIRST, but we will not have to spend weeks and maybe months with smoothening out mistakes that were ignored for the sake of speed.

There are brilliant resources around this btw including one how this is used in high risk military operations (where you simply cannot afford to be sloppy), as well as in pro sports (where the slow practicing enables acceleration later).

Yeah, so this here is how I deal with me becoming impatient - how do you deal with the balance between quality, speed and where you mentally are?

and with this much more uncluttered space

Here in Germany and especially in Bavaria, families hang colourful eggs from "Easter trees" (Ostereierbaum).

In Eastern Europe, artists create intricate "pysanky" eggs with detailed wax-resist designs.

About Time for Reflection and Renewal... agree?

Phew - what a first quarter it's been! Surprising at minimum, challenging - often, and for many of us, a true test of resilience.

So, whether you celebrate Easter or simply enjoy the changing season, this weekend coming up represents a perfect moment to take that much-needed breather.

I'd like to remind you that no matter where you are in the world, it's okay to pause and appreciate what you've accomplished so far - even if that accomplishment was simply sticking with it during difficult times.

Being flexible, staying agile, and continuing to show up are successes worth celebrating. Now is the ideal time to rest a bit (I will head to the 'German Tuscany' - Palatia) before heading out fresh for whatever comes next.
